Dan Nestlerode began investing in the early 1950s and became registered stock broker in April 15th 1965. In 1983 he became the second president of the family investment firm, Nestlerode & Co., Inc. that later became Nestlerode & Loy, Inc. In 1991 he began the shift in the company’s business from investment brokerage to investment management moving from $3 million under management to just short of $90 million upon his retirement on April 15th 2015. In 2008, he completed his succession plan by resigning as president of the family firm in favor of Judy L. Loy who continues on as CEO of the company and moves the company to its third generation. In addition to his career in money management, Dan was the treasurer of the Presbyterian Church Camp at Krislund for nearly 15 years, treasurer of Centre Life Link in State College for 14 years, treasurer of the Outdoor Sportmans Club in State College for 15 years and now treasurer of the Waterville Volunteer Fire Company and the treasurer of the Pine Creek Preservation Association in Waterville, Pa. Dan the president of Pine Village a family retreat and vacation property in Waterville, Pa and the advisor to and treasurer of the Metric Investment Club since 1994. Dan was one of the founders and past president of the TIPS Club in State College, a business referral organization.
